2017 Ford Explorer

This new Ford Explorer is larger than ever before and has that rugged and macho appearance which gets more attention.  It now sits on a bigger 113inch wheelbase and offers a new Sport Appearance Package for 2017 delivering a more aggressive look with 20-inch wheels, grey grille insert, black cladding, a black roof rack and grey leather seats.  The Ford Explorer's taut mix of steel and aluminum looks darn right menacing in its wide and assertive stance.

You can see it along with other attractive models up close and personal with the friendly folks at Hixson Ford of Alexandria!

This attractive crossover from Ford has available seating for seven and can tow 5000 lbs.  More than enough to get the Ski-Doo's to the lake.  Another big positive with the Explorer is its very stylish, versatile and innovative interior that you will experience when you slide into those comfy seats for the test drive.  This new Explorer is equipped with the latest in high quality and tech superior systems that relate to your entertainment, communication and safety needs.  Owners like the Ford Sync3 setup with more real buttons than touch screen functions.

You and yours will appreciate how quiet and smooth the ride is over all kinds of road imperfections.  This is thanks to tight door seals, engine mounts that absorb vibration and available acoustic glass.  Drivers also like how good the forward visibility is with the Explorers high seating position.  The front seats are supportive with soft cushions and comfortable armrests, just like your favorite chair back home.  Lots of leg and head room even in the rear seats with choice of bucket seats to keep the kiddos apart.  The third row folds forward to create a vast 81 cubic feet for those big shopping items.  Even with the third seat up, there is 21 cubic feet available.  To really open up things more, a large dual-panel moon-roof can be included.

What may be powering you down the road on your test drive is a great choice of engines. The Explorer's base engine is the tried and true 3.5-liter V6.  This peppy six delivers 290 horses and 255 lb-ft of torque.  This new Explorer also has available the popular four cylinder 2.3-liter Turbo.  This EcoBoost four punches out 280 lively horses and 310 lb-ft of torque to get you off that green light quickly.  It even sounds great from its tuned exhaust.  If you desire more zip in your trip, then get behind the wheel of an Explorer with the most powerful and fun engine available in the form of a Twin Turbocharged 3.5-liter V6.  This awesome engine lets lose 365 thoroughbreds with 350 asphalt gripping torque and comes with the Platinum and Sport AWD models.  Since the Explorer has always been known to be a family orientated vehicle, it is so good to know it earned five stars in NHTSA testing.  It also has available a slew of Ford safety functions.

All in all, this new Ford Explorer is as good to drive as to be seen in.  Isn't it about time to get that fun factor back in your drive-times?  Visit http://www.hixsonfordalex.com today!
