2021 Ford Bronco

Better watch out Wrangler as a Bronco is about to kick some dirt into to your grille.  Yes indeed, after 25 years of absence, the new 2021 Ford Bronco is back on the scene with a vengeance and so ready to take on the main competition in the “off-road” arena.  This new updated Bronco is a hit already with more than 125,000 orders waiting to be sent to its lucky owners.

If you are somewhat interested, you need to hurry on down to see the friendly folks at Hixson Ford of Alexandria located at 2506 MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, Louisiana or by calling the dealership at 318.448.0871 and just see if this new and exciting machine meets your expectations.  The bet is on that the Bronco will.

You and yours will discover that the new Bronco from Ford comes with either 2 doors or four.  The first-ever four-door has a standard soft top, but buyers can spec a rigid roof.  The two-door Bronco comes only with a hardtop.  Either way, the tops, doors, fender flares, and even the fenders are a snap to remove to make it look like the “beast” it plans to be.

The Bronco's frameless doors shrink the size and allow them to be stored in the cargo area.  Another thing that will grab your attention is its bold and aggressive styling showing off the Bronco's retro exterior with the flat no-nonsense surfaces, clear-cut edges, wide and assertive stance, especially large tires. A head jerker for sure.

Powering the Ford Bronco off and on the beaten path is the standard feisty 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder that kicks out 270 ponies and 310 lb-ft of “get-up and go” torque that has the power to surprise. If you desire more power, then also test drive the optional 2.7-liter turbocharged V6 that releases 310 anxious horses and an amazing 400 lb-ft of asphalt/dirt grabbing torque.  Both are paired with a smooth-shifting 10 speed automatic and a seven-speed manual can be had with the Bronco four banger for those who rather throw their own gears.

Another plus is that the 2021 Ford Bronco comes with an affordable base price that makes it so desirable and assessable to many buyers who want to explore off the beaten path and also at the same time have a suitable daily driver.  It really can tackle just about any off-road adventure with its 11.6-inch ground clearance, optional 35-inch tires and a slew of factory-backed aftermarket accessories.

Inside the Bronco's cabin, the rugged theme continues adding modern high tech.  Seats are comfy, yet sturdy and will hold you in place as you roll over rough ground.  The 2021 Bronco represents a new and fresh beginning of off-roading for the Ford Motor Company and also the public.  No time like the present to find out why the Bronco is so popular.  You will not be disappointed.

2021 Ford Mustang

When a sleek and sporty Ford Mustang passes you with its throaty burble and retro lines you wish you were seated in this iconic sports car.  Well, dreams do sometimes come true in that all you must do is visit the friendly folks at Hixson Ford of Alexandria located at 2506 MacArthur Drive in Alexandria, Louisiana or by calling the dealership at 318.448.0871 and see what happens.  Easy as that.

You will find that the 2021 has it all, from a convertible turbo-4 edition to an insanely fast supercharged monster.  Car critics/writers give this new Mustang great reviews starting with Motor Trend that rated it number one in performance coupes.  Consumer Reports awarded the “Tang” one of their coveted “Check Marks” for a Recommended Vehicle with the highest scores for Owner Satisfaction.  That what is owning a car is all about.

This new Ford Mustang looks assertive and aggressive even in base trim and it grows menacing through GT and most certainly in the GT500 models. Mustang performance has never been so sophisticated or wide ranging in horsepower.  The base turbo-4 delivers 310 lively ponies and pulls 0 to 60 mph in about 6 seconds. The GT's grow rippling V8 muscles with 480 horses in the new Mach 1 or an astonishing 760 anxious horses in the Shelby GT500 where 60 mph is only 3,3 seconds away thanks to 625 lb-ft of asphalt eating torque.  The big news this year is the return of the very popular Mach 1 as it replaces the GT350 and the Bullitt and adds an addition of 20 horses to reach 480 and 420 lb-ft of get-up and go torque.

What the Mach 1 also gets from the GT350 is a Tremer six-speed manual, a track ready suspension, adaptive dampers, and more goodies like cooling upgrades for brakes, engine and transmission that assist in your driving excitement.  The new 2021 Ford Mustang is also a “head-turner” with retro-looks that come with rear quarter windows and roofline cues the fastback “60's” Mustangs with a front end that's nearly as upright. Add on those front-end flares that give the Mustang a substantial but sleek stance and the character lines that flow into the rear end with athletic haunches. Then your big V8 attracts attention with its crackling snorts with the active exhaust sending waves of sound through the cabin and beyond.

This is a muscle car that you will be proud and very happy to be in.  Hands down.  The new Mustang's interior has hints of retro styling and comes with all the tech you need to keep in touch with the outside world.  The seats are comfy yet sturdy, especially with the premium editions that offer leather and even Recaro racing seats.

The 2021 Ford Mustang is so much fun to be in that you will take it for a drive just because.

2021 Ford Explorer

Many three row family crossovers just offer spacious family haulers, but the 2021 Ford Explorer has also the “Guts” to get your groceries.  The standard 2.3-liter turbocharged engine produces more punch and torque than its competitors' V6 powerplants and even better fuel economy.

That feisty six turbo obliterates everyone else in the segment releasing 400 horses in the sporty ST model and an amazing 415 lb-ft of asphalt grabbing torque that puts you at 60 mph in a blink over 5 seconds. The ST badge gives you also receive stiffer suspension, larger brakes and AWD. The standard turbo inline-four produces 300 ponies and 310 lb-ft of torque.  Standard on the Platinum is a 3.0-liter turbo V6 that is good for 365 horses and 380 lb-ft of “get-up and go” torque.  Finally, the Ford Explorer Hybrid pairs a 3.3-liter naturally aspirated V6 to an electric motor and a lithium-ion battery pack with a total output of 318 horses and much improved gas mileage.  All the engines offered are equipped with a smooth shifting 10 speed automatic with rear wheel drive or for those who desire more confidence in their drive-times the AWD is available.  That said, Ford has put a priority on performance on its gutsy grocery getter.

Also Ford engineers improved the Explorer's handling and stability to make it drive like a sedan instead of a large SUV.  They have given the Explorer a sleek look with curves in all the right places and a sporty sloping roofline and really hits the sweet spot of daily or long distance driving.

The interior is fitted with very comfy seats front to rear offering captain chairs and has the latest in modern amenities to make you take the longer route home. For your entertainment and communication desires you have a bright 8-inch touchscreen or an available 10-inch that comes with the very popular and user friendly Sync3 infotainment setup.
